PLETCHER SALES updated 1-19-10
After being in the pool table business for 30 years this past November 2009, I shut down the pool table part and will only continue selling cues, balls, recovery cloth, and other accessories. When I was so young trying to survive, the business had taught me life's lessons, by introducing me to many friendly customers, supported my family financially when we needed it most, supplied me with long time loyal installers to the end, and gave me that special forced, working together nights, with my sons covering rails, unloading/loading pool tables and other work. Of course at that time, we were just trying to get it done and move on to other things for each of us, such as school work, and family responsibilities. Only now, do all of us see how precious those times were (working side by side), having those father/son talks.
Therefore I want to thank God for all he has done in our lives, and all of you, who had some interaction with the business one time or another over the years. Also appreciation and thank you, to the Brunswick company who was loyal to me since 1981 and until the end. It was great to deal with a company that had the history that Brunswick has behind it and the people that we dealt with. Watching the company move many years ago from Marion VA., then to Fort Wayne, IN. for a while, and now for many years being finally settled in Bristol WI.. The employees were very knowledgeable, dependable (certainly for my business), and loyal to their company. I guess that is Integrity.
Thank you for the years

So your looking for a pool table?
I have some information that might be of help for you below.
Only two basic styles no mater the company or cost (el-cheapo or the best). External pocket (you see the leather pocket on the outside, part of the look with narrow rails, curved lines) or internal pocket type tables (newer style look wider rails, straighter lines).
Cost range of tables. If you have the wallet they can go 10 to $25K (happy to sell you one of those), but around here most of my customers spend 2 to 4 thousand for the better quality. Beyond that, you get even nicer and fancier woodworking. You can spend less for lower quality (other brands) but the mechanical structure can sag over several months having rail and other issues. So that range listed above is a good place to be, from any dealer.
Style of furniture. What do you want to look at for the next 20 years (or whatever) in your room. Your going to put a large hunk of something in there. It will probably outlast your TV. So make a good choice.....
High quality 21oz cloth or the expensive but highest quality anywhere, Brunswick's 25oz (water repellant) fast woven cloth.
Color of that cloth your interested in.
Optional items such as cues, balls, racks, covers, scuffers, etc. and the quality of these items. Don't settle for the cheapest quality balls (not very round or diameter consistency between balls) and four broomsticks (not deserved to called a cue, that will cause problems in your play). Your brain will need a very consistant reference to play and gauge from, if your going to learn anything. You will figure that out at the dealer if you compare. Here at Pletcher's, I will explain and help you with that (quality & proper shape angle of tip and wood shaft & finish etc.).
How much time will the installers be given at your location to do better finessing of the adjustments?
Remember: The better quality details of the Brunswick pool table, cloth, balls, cues, and the warm bodies that will be assembling your table.
Now sit back, and watch it be assembled in your home!
Have fun entertaining with your quality Brunswick Pool Table.

I know, I should have smiled more!
Hours.....Weekend and evening friendly. Most weeknights I will be here. Most Saturdays 10 - 5 and possibly Sun. afternoon if you call. Our business is across from our residence, so it is convenient for us. Brandon (my son) is covering for me, weekdays and other times when I have to play dad or grandpa. Being a family business these times represent most of the time, and our best intentions. There could be rare occasions that we might have to be gone, but feel free to call on the spur of the moment, whenever the mood strikes, to make sure we are here if you are driving from some distance. Because of this, I will try to be flexible to your schedule if possible. Doesn't hurt to call and ask. Thanks!
